Meeting of the Ambassador with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq

On March 17, 2019, in Baghdad, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Kuwait Zubaydzoda Zubaydullo Najota met with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Iraq for Legal Affairs and Multilateral Relations Hazim al-Yusufi.
During the meeting, issues of bilateral cooperation in the spheres of economy, trade, investment, tourism, the fight against terrorism and extremism, the return of underage citizens of Tajikistan from Iraq to their homeland, political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, the participation of the Iraqi side at the Fifth Summit of Heads states of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) and the High-level Conference "International and Regional Cooperation in the Fight against Terrorism and its Financing through Illicit Drug Trafficking and Organized Crime."

The parties also exchanged views on the need to exchange high-level visits and establish cooperation between the governments of the two countries, and also exchanged views on the situation in the Middle East and Afghanistan.
