Meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea

On 26 November 2020, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Chung Sye-kyun within the framework of his official visit.

During the meeting, S. Muhriddin noted that cooperation with the Republic of Korea, including within the framework of the Central Asia-Republic of Korea Cooperation Forum and other instruments of regional cooperation, is a great importance for Tajikistan. It was noted that Tajikistan considers the Forum as an important tool for the development and strengthening of partnerships between its member countries.

The sides also discussed the implementation of the agreements reached during the high-level visits, the signing of new bilateral documents, the expansion of inter-parliamentary, trade, economic, investment, scientific and technical, industrial, energy and labor migration between the two countries.

Other issues related to the expansion of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Republic of Korea within the framework of international and regional organizations and interaction between the two countries in the fight against Covid-19 were also discussed.
