Glaciers’ Preservation Event in Brussels

On 27 March 2025 in Brussels in cooperation with the UNESCO Representation to the European Institutions and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) in the “Cinema Galeries” took place the screening of the “The Last Glaciers, Journey to the Extreme” and Panel Discussion devoted to the International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation.

At the opening ceremony of the event, the representative of the Embassy of Tajikistan in Brussels spoke about the essence of the next global initiative of our country to declare 2025 as the “International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation”, the efforts of Tajikistan’s Government in promoting the Global Water and Climate Agenda, as well as preparations for the First High-Level International Conference on Glacier Preservation (29-31 May 2025, Dushanbe).
