NEW TAX CODE OF TAJIKISTAN:

MORE BENEFITS FOR COMPANIES AND MANUFACTURERS

On November 3, 2021, during the regular session, the members of the lower chamber of parliament of Tajikistan adopted the revised draft of the Tax Code.

During the discussion of the draft, the Minister of Finance of Tajikistan Fayziddin Kakhkhorzoda said that according to the revised Code the number of taxes was reduced from 10 to 7, and the rate of income tax from 13 percent to 12 percent. 

The main tax rate - VAT, the share of which in the total volume of the tax revenues in the country’s budget is more than 40%, will decrease from 18% to 15% from January 1, 2022.

Starting from 2023, the rate of VAT will be decreased to 14 percent, and from January 1, 2027 - to 13 percent.  

The Minister stressed that the revised Tax Code contains many other new amendments and regulations that will be implemented gradually.

A new Tax Code has been drafted taking into account the interests of business entities, primarily, manufacturers.
