On 29 March 2026, a festive cultural event dedicated to the international Navruz celebration was held in Düsseldorf at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Federal Republic of Germany, with the support of the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli of the Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan and Mayor of the city of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, in cooperation with the associations of compatriots residing in Germany “Payvandi Tojikoni Olmon” and “Tojikoni Olmon.”
During the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Germany, Imomudin Sattorov, congratulated the attendees on the occasion of Navruz and emphasized that this ancient holiday promotes a spirit of goodwill, mutual understanding, and solidarity among people. He also highlighted the importance of preserving and properly presenting national culture and traditions, as well as the responsibility of every compatriot to value their language and cultural heritage. In this context, he particularly noted the role of the initiatives of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in strengthening the international significance of Navruz.
More than 1,100 guests attended the event, including compatriots residing in Germany, Persian-speaking residents of the host country, German citizens, as well as other international guests.
The event continued with a cultural programme. Singers Fotima Mashrabova, Khushdil Pirakov, and Nasimjon Marupov, the falak performer Firuz Fayzulloev, as well as the music group “RitmX” (Khairullo Dadoboev, Uta Schilling, and Yodgor Jurabekov) enriched the programme with performances of traditional and contemporary songs. In addition, pianist Sorbon Rahim and violinist Najim Jannatov demonstrated their musical artistry.
As part of the event, a fashion show featuring traditional and modern collections by Tajik designers Khurshed Sattorov and Laylo Habibi was also held, attracting significant interest from the audience.
A cultural exhibition was also organized, featuring a festively arranged Navruz table with “Haft Sin” and “Haft Shin,” displays of traditional crafts, national clothing, and striking photographs of Tajikistan’s natural landscapes.
The programme also included a traditional wrestling competition (gushtingiri), performances of traditional dances, as well as the preparation and serving of sumanak — a symbol of Navruz — which was offered to the guests as part of the national festive table.
The event took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
