On 21 March 2026, a festive event dedicated to the International Navruz Festival took place at the Grand Elysee Hamburg Hotel. The event was organized at the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Federal Republic of Germany and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Tajikistan in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein, Kourosh Pourkian.
The event was held with the participation of the Embassies of the Central Asian countries in Berlin and brought together members of the Hamburg Senate, representatives of business and cultural circles, the diplomatic corps, as well as compatriots residing in Hamburg.
As part of the event, a cultural presentation of the Republic of Tajikistan was organized, featuring traditional crafts, national attire, musical instruments, and materials highlighting the country’s tourism potential. The Central Asian countries also presented their national exhibition stands, showcasing their culture and traditions.
During the event, the Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Federal Republic of Germany, Imomudin Sattorov, addressed the audience, congratulating the guests on the occasion of Navruz and highlighting its historical and cultural significance as a symbol of the renewal of nature, peace, friendship, mutual understanding, and unity among peoples.
The cultural programme featured performances by Tajik artists — pianist Sorbon Rahim and singers Khushdil Pirakov and Nasim Marupov contributing to a festive atmosphere.
