Presentation of Tajikistan's tourism potential

On June 12, 2024 on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan and in cooperation with the German Association of Travel Journalists "CTOUR", an event presenting the tourism potential of Tajikistan was held on the premises of the diplomatic mission, which was attended by more than 30 journalists - members of this association.

The Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany, Imomudin Sattorov, presented the main measures taken by the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of tourism sector development and introduced the journalists with the abundant tourism opportunities, ancient history and rich culture of the Tajiks.

In his speech, the President of the Association of Travel Journalists, Hans-Peter Gaul, stressed that the purpose of holding such a joint event is to increase the growing interest of German media circles in the tourism potential of Tajikistan.

CTOUR member and journalist of the „Die Stimme der Hauptstadt” publisher Volker Neef, who visited Tajikistan in March of this year with the support of the Embassy and the Committee for Tourism Development and took part in the International Navruz Festival 2024, shared his impressions and positive experiences of Tajikistan with the participants.

During the exchange of views with journalists, Imomudin Sattorov answered questions on various aspects of the development of the country's tourism industry, in particular on the simplification of travel-related procedures and accessibility of travelling to Tajikistan.
