Consideration of the current state and prospects for expanding bilateral relations between Tajikistan and Germany

On October 17, 2022, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany, Imomudin Sattorov, met with the Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Eastern European, the Caucasus, and Central Asian countries Matthias Lüttenberg.

During the talks, the sides discussed the current state of bilateral relations and further strengthening of cooperation between Tajikistan and Germany in the fields of politics, economy, culture, science, education, security, as well as in other areas of mutual interest.

The sides exchanged views on regional and international issues as well.

Imomudin Sattorov drew the attention of the German diplomat to regional processes, including the recent border tensions on the border of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, and in this regard, he stressed that Tajikistan supports the resolving of the border conflict by negotiation and diplomatic means and adheres to an unshakable position on this issue.
