Political consultations

Since 2016, a mechanism of interdepartmental consultations has been established between Tajikistan and Germany.

On October 1, 2019, regular political consultations were held in Berlin under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Huseynzoda Muzaffar and the Commissioner of the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development for the Central Asian countries, Caucasus and Eastern Europe, Mr. Michael Siebert. During the consultations, issues of bilateral relations in the political, economic, trade, investment, security, inter-parliamentary cooperation, energy, science and education and culture were discussed. The parties also exchanged views on regional and international cooperation.  The next consultations are planned to be held in Dushanbe in 2020.
