The procedure for issuance of passports

and certificates of return to the Republic of Tajikistan

 

To whom can the Embassy issue a passport?

Citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan permanently or temporarily residing in the country where the diplomatic mission is assigned.

  • Send copies of the documents to the Embassy address via DHL and contact the Consular Section of the Embassy after 10 days to confirm the admission date +49 (0) 303 479-3017.

 

What documents are required to obtain a passport?

- an application addressed to the Embassy (standard format, phone number); For passport

- an internal passport of a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan and its copy;

- a valid passport and its copy;

- a birth certificate and its copy;

- a document confirming the legality of a citizen's residence in the host country (visa);

 

What documents are required to obtain a passport for persons under 16 years of age?

- an application addressed to the Embassy (standard format, phone number);

- copies of parents' documents (national and foreign passports, marriage certificate, residence permit);

- birth certificate and its copy (with translation into Tajik);

- a document confirming the legality of a citizen's residence in the host country (visa);

The rules of issuing passport for minor children (under 16) in the absence of a parent

 Passport for the citizens under 16 is issued based on the notarized consent of parents, legal representatives or the document confirming the absence of the second parent (death certificate, court judgment on deprivation of parental rights, court judgment on the declaration of citizen to be missing).

In order to verify that the applicant belongs to the citizenship of the Republic of Tajikistan and that he/she does not have citizenship of another state, the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Germany has the right to request additional documents.

In some cases provided by the laws of Tajikistan, a citizen of Tajikistan may be temporarily refused in issuance of a passport.

 

What should one do in case of loss of a passport?

If you lose your passport, you must immediately contact the internal affairs authorities of the host country, as well as the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Germany. In case of loss of a passport, a certificate of return to the Republic of Tajikistan is issued to a citizen to return to the Republic of Tajikistan.

 

What is a Certificate of Return to the Republic of Tajikistan?

A certificate of return to the Republic of Tajikistan is a temporary document proving the identity of a citizen of the Republic of Tajikistan and giving the right to return to the Republic of Tajikistan. The certificate of return is valid for 30 days from the date of issuance.

A certificate of return is issued only once and is meant only for return to the Republic of Tajikistan. It cannot be used as a basis for residing abroad.

 

What kind of documents should be submitted to receive a Certificate of Return to the Republic of Tajikistan?

  1. Application form (standard form);
  2. Copy of internal passport;
  3. Copy of travel document (passport);
  4. Two photos (3x4)
