Celebration of the State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan

On October 4, 2025, a fairy event dedicated to the solemnize of the State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, which is celebrated annually on 5th of October, held at the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Turkmenistan with the participation of compatriots.

The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to Turkmenistan Niyatbekzoda Vafo in his congratulatory speech noted that the Tajik people celebrate the State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan as a great holiday and a symbol of devotion to the Tajik language.

Then the Ambassador spoke about the history of the State Language Day of the Republic of Tajikistan, which laid the foundation of Tajik statehood in the modern era.

During the speech, was underlined that Tajik language is a great national value, the basis of statehood, a clear sign of political independence and the embodiment of the history of the Tajik people, and therefore the Founder of peace and national unity – Leader of the nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Emomali Rahmon, pays constant attention to the development of the native language and takes effective measures to strengthen it, and has also created a solid foundation for the further promotion of this direction in national policy.

In conclusion of his address, the Ambassador remarked that the Tajik language plays an important role in the formation of self-awareness, self-esteem of citizens, fostering a sense of patriotism, national identity and the development of political and cultural life and worldview of the people.
