procedure for members of diplomatic missions and international organizations at the State Protocol Department,
Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan

Upon arrival of new staff to Tajikistan the diplomatic missions and international organizations should submit the following documents to the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs within 72 hours:
1. A Note Verbal;
2. Two completed accreditation registration forms (is attached);
3. Two photos (size 3x4);
4. 1 electronic photo (format jpg, size 3x4) (to be sent by CD-R) or through e-mail address: protocol@mfa.tj, protocoltj@yahoo.com
5. A copy of passport and visa.
The accreditation card will be issued within 14 working days.
Similar procedure is provided for the renewal of the accreditation cards.
Diplomatic cards will be issued to the diplomatic mission staff that holds both a valid diplomatic passport and diplomatic visa confirming the diplomatic status.
Service cards will be issued to the administrative and technical personnel of diplomatic missions.
Diplomatic and service cards will be also issued to the respective dependants.
In case of loss a diplomatic mission and international organization should immediately inform the State Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with Note Verbal and send 1 electronic photo. Card image will be issued within 14 days.
In case of career changes of staff members (new diplomatic rank, promotion of administrative and technical personnel, etc.) diplomatic missions should notify the State Protocol Department by a Note Verbal informing about the changes and attach current diplomatic/ service card.
If children of staff members become students of any Higher Educational Establishment in the Republic of Tajikistan, diplomatic missions should inform the State Protocol Department on this matter and submit his/her passport for cancellation of registration and return his/her card to the State Protocol Department.
Upon completion of a staff member’s duty and his/her departure from the country, diplomatic missions should send in advance to the State Protocol Department of the Ministry a Note Verbal, attach his/her passport for cancellation of registration and return his/her diplomatic/service card with the cards of family members and other documents that are not permitted to be taken out of the country.
In case of non-compliance with the above-mentioned procedures, registration of newly arrived staff members of diplomatic missions will be subject to delay.
